On the
20th of June, World Refugee Day, we greet all participants.
Our world
is made uninhabitable by the imperialist capitalist system. The recent
coranavirus outbreak is not independent of the system's excessive profit
ambition. While imperialism takes steps for its own interests, these policies
cause millions of people to migrate, to seek asylum in other countries in order
to avoid war conditions, hunger, unemployment, and poverty.
Those who
are the reason why people migrate and become refugees and asylum seekers in
other countries, now show migrants to their public as a problem. Migrants are
the target of racist-fascist parties, moreover, states criminalize migrants
with systematic police violence and their policies. Migration is not a crime.
The Greek
state with the New Democracy government, introduced new sanctions and policies
for migrants and asylum seekers. Migrants and asylum seekers are the target of
official and civilian gangs in border areas. Their personal belongings and
money are extorted, and they are pushed back by torture. Migrants on the
islands are brought to the mainland and kept in camps by police violence.
Attacks on migrants' accommodation rights continue. People are forcibly removed
from their homes by police operations. They are prevented from healthcare
system.
Let's
stand against systematic police attacks against refugees and migrants.
Housing
and health are the most basic human rights.
Let's
stand against racism and fascism!
Let's
raise solidarity!
