Τι μας διδάσκει ο Κορωνοϊός;

Ο Κορωνοϊός μας δίνει πνευματικά και ηθικά μαθήματα που έχουν από καιρό ξεχαστεί. Μας διδάσκει ισότητα, πως όλοι οι άνθρωποι είναι ίσοι ανεξάρτητα από τον τρόπο ζωής τους, την κουλτούρα, τον πλούτο, το χρώμα του δέρματός τους και τη γεωγραφική τους τοποθεσία.

Ο Κορωνοϊός διδάσκει πως τα σύνορα μπορεί απλώς να σημαίνουν την πόρτα του δωματίου σου, όταν δεν σου επιτρέπεται να βγεις έξω, ακόμη και αν το έχεις ανάγκη. Η διέλευση από το όριο της πόρτας απαγορεύεται.

Ο Κορωνοϊός διδάσκει ότι τα σύνορα μπορούν πλέον να περαστούν χωρίς διαβατήρια. Εκείνα τα έγγραφα που, εδώ και χρόνια, μας χώριζαν, μας απέκλειαν, έχουν μικρή αξία πλέον. Ένας ιός μπορεί να διασχίσει τα σύνορα χωρίς κανένα έγγραφο ταυτοποίησης.

Ανοιχτό Γράμμα προς τους πρόσφυγες για την εγγραφή των παιδιών τους στα δημόσια σχολεία

Το παρακάτω γράμμα προς τους πρόσφυγες για το δικαίωμα εγγραφής των προσφυγόπουλων στα σχολεία, συντάχτηκε με πρωτοβουλία του Συντονισμού για το Προσφυγικό - Μεταναστευτικό για την ενημέρωση των προσφύγων. Θα το βρείτε στα αγγλικά, στα ελληνικά, στα αραβικά, στα φαρσί (περσικά) και στα κουρδικά.

Open Letter to the parents for the registration of your children for public schools

Dear Parents,

On September 12, starts the school year in Greece. We want to inform you that your children have the right to register and attend the public schools in our country.
They can attend kindergarten, primary and secondary schools - high schools as well as technical schools from 4-5 to 17-18 years old.

We consider the right of your children to public education as very important, even if your stay here doesn’t last long, because

• It is an elementary human right that the refugees’ children have access to education, like all children

• It will allow them to live normally despite of the difficult conditions under which you live

• They can develop their skills and personality

• They will have the opportunity to develop relationships with their peers and not be marginalized.

For the registration you need to fill out an application that is available in the schools and go with your children to submit it to the school nearby. It would be helpful to have your documents with you as well as the registration paper from the authorities.
 Trade unions and parents' associations participating in the Coordination for the Refugees can provide you with any assistance you may need and to accompany you to the schools for the registration.

We are certain that you are even more concerned about this problem.

We are willing to fight along with you for your rights and the rights of your children so they can get the best of the future.
